The Manzanillo olive showcases very green fruit and produces a fantastic balance between sweet fruit aromas of strawberry with green tropical fruit of melon, along with some fresh grass. It ranges from peppery, bitter and sweet, all at the same time. Manzanillo has origins in Israel (and Spain), but currently it is the most planted variety in Australian olive groves due to its high productivity rate and high quality fruit. This particular vintage of Australian Manzanillo falls into the robust category – complex artichoke savory nose, tomato leaf flavor with complementary bitterness and lingering pepperiness.
